Musings on the story of Earth, life, mind and spirit. Exploring the creative impulse of the cosmos through evolution. Music: Shpongle At the heart of evolution is the story of an awakening universe, matter awakening to Spirit, Godhead, Omega Point, or “Life.” Being and becoming. In that sense, the story of the evolution of consciousness is a way for a greater “Being” to begin to shine through. A few interesting connections…. Process philosophy, as well as in Teilhard’s philosophy, the heart of all matter is Spirit, or God. Divine consciousness within all “form.” The universe, then, is always and already and expression of the Whole. Formless manifests form and awakens to itself. Evolution is a process of “sublimating,” the world in the divine, two as one. Being and becoming, flux and direction. Ever more penetrating and awakening… In that sense, consciousness is not your brain. It is infinitely more, the “ever present origin.” Matter, life, the nervous system, the brain, mind itself are “conduits,” for a gradual awakening in the material world. Humans are significant here, because we are, at least on this world, one of the first “forms” to begin to recognize the inner Wholeness to reality. James Lovelock is the author of approximately 200 scientific papers, distributed almost equally among topics in Medicine, Biology, Instrument Science and Geophysiology. He has filed more than 50 patents, mostly for detectors for use in chemical analysis. One of these, the electron capture detector, was important in the development of environmental awareness. It revealed for the first time the ubiquitous distribution of pesticide residues and other halogen bearing chemicals. This information enabled Rachel Carson to write her book, Silent Spring, often said to have initiated the awareness of environmental disturbance. Later it enabled the discovery of the presence of PCB’s in the natural environment. More recently the electron capture detector was responsible for the discovery of the global distribution of nitrous oxide and of the chlorofluorocarbons, both of which are important in the stratospheric chemistry of ozone. Some of his inventions were adopted by NASA in their programme of planetary exploration. He was awarded by NASA three certificates of recognition for these. He is the originator of the Gaia Hypothesis (now Gaia Theory) and has written four books on the subject: Gaia: a new look at life on Earth, (Oxford University Press, 1979); The Ages of Gaia, (WW Norton, 1988); Gaia: the practical science of planetary medicine, (Gaia Books, 1991), and Homage to Gaia (2000). He was elected a Fellow of the Royal Society in 1974 and in 1975 received the Tswett Medal for

Anyone who has studied the global environmental movement has no doubt heard the term “Gaia”. Gaia is a revival of Paganism that rejects Christianity, considers Christianity its biggest enemy, and views the Christian faith as its only obstacle to a global religion centered on Gaia worship and the uniting of all life forms around the goddess of “Mother Earth”. A cunning mixture of science, paganism, eastern mysticism, and feminism have made this pagan cult a growing threat to the Christian Church. Gaia worship is at the very heart of today’s environmental policy. The Endangered Species Act, The United Nation’s Biodiversity Treaty and the Presidents Council on Sustainable Development are all offspring of the Gaia hypothesis of saving “Mother Earth”. This religious movement, with cult-like qualities, is being promoted by leading figures and organizations such as former Vice President Albert Gore, broadcaster Ted Turner, and the United Nations and it’s various NGO’s. Al Gore’s book “Earth in the Balance” is just one of many books that unabashedly proclaims the deity of Earth and blames the falling away from this Pagan God on the environmentally unfriendly followers of Jesus Christ. The United Nations has been extremely successful in infusing the “Green Religion” into an international governmental body that has an increasing affect and control over all of our lives. So, what is this new cult of Gaia? It is basically a rehashed, modernized version of the paganism condemned by

Complete video at: fora.tv University of California – Berkeley Astronomy Professor Debra Fischer describes the “zoo” of recently discovered extrasolar planets, and compares many of their general attributes – their orbits, masses, and potential to sustain life – to the planets of our own solar system. —– Close to 300 planets outside our solar system have already been discovered. What if we find earth’s twin? The two leading planet hunters Didier Queloz, University of Geneva, and Debra Fischer, San Francisco State University, will talk about their search for planets outside our solar system (exoplanets) and the possibility of finding an earth-like planet, with liquid water on the surface. They discuss ideas on what such a planet would look like, what would grow, and what kind of life could exist. Lynette Cook, well-known portraitist of planets, will envision the outcome of this discussion through painting the imagined surface of one of the most recent discoveries: Gliese 581 c – Swissnex San Francisco Debra Fischer is a professor of astronomy at San Francisco State University and the University of California, Berkeley. Fischer has co-authored over 80 papers on dwarf and sub-stellar mass objects in the galactic neighborhood, including many on extrasolar planets. She is also a member of the planet search team led by Geoffrey Marcy looking for extrasolar planets.

cryosat-2 – esa’s ice mission esa’s Earth Explorer cryosat mission is dedicated to precise monitoring of the changes in the thickness of marine ice floating in the polar oceans and variations in the thickness of the vast ice sheets that overlie Greenland and Antarctica. — Please subscribe to Science & Reason: • www.youtube.com • www.youtube.com • www.youtube.com — With the effects of a changing climate fast becoming apparent, particularly in the polar regions, it is increasingly important to understand exactly how Earths ice fields are responding. Diminishing ice cover is frequently cited as an early casualty of global warming and since ice, in turn, plays an important role regulating climate and sea level, the consequences of change are far reaching. For some years now, satellites such as esas Envisat have been mapping the extent of ice cover. As stated in the Climate Change 2007 Synthesis Report by the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change, “Satellite data since 1978 show that annual average Arctic sea-ice extent has shrunk by 2.7% per decade.” However, this is only part of the picture. In order to understand fully how climate change is affecting these remote but sensitive regions, there remains an urgent need to determine exactly how the thickness of the ice, both on land and floating in the sea, is changing. By addressing this challenge, the data delivered by the cryosat mission will complete the picture and lead to a better understanding of the role ice plays

The term “Nibiru” comes from the Sumerian cuneiform tablets and writings dating 5000 years old. Nibiru means “Planet of the crossing”, and it’s cuneiform sign was often a cross, or various winged disc. The Sumerian culture was located in the fertile lands between the Euphrates and Tigris rivers, at the southern part of today’s Iraq. It was the home of a technologically advanced human-like alien race, the Anunnaki of Sumerian myth, who survived and later came to Earth. thanks to: www.planetxvideo.com

November 19th, 2009 “The Lorne Trottier Annual Science Symposium – Preventing Dangerous Climate Change: Geo-Engineering or Mitigation? Some scientists argue mitigation alone can no longer prevent dangerous levels of CO2. Can we successfully manipulate the climate system to avoid dangerous climate change? Do we understand the global climate system well enough to determine the feasibility and risks involved? Panel speakers included: Professor Alan Robock Dept of Environmental Sciences, Rutgers University, NJ Professor James Fleming Technology and Society, Colby College ME Professor David Keith Director, ISEEE and Environmental Systems Group, Earth Sciences, University of Calgary Dr. Phil Rasch Pacific Northwest National Laboratory WA Following the debate, audience members will be invited to participate in a question period.” – mcgill Program Keith spoke about using aerosols to deflect the rays of the sun although it wouldnt help with our current CO2 levels. According to him the aerosols would form marine stratocumulus clouds. He used a lot of emotive language in describing the perils to come with climate change and how it is our fault. Flemming spoke about cloud seeding in Vietnam and Cuba yet continually emphasized how geo-engineering does not exist. Robock spoke of all the different reasons geo-engineering might be bad including how it may do nothing at all. He did not address any health-related concerns. “The smart way to keep people passive and obedient is to strictly
