This is the premise for my script and I wrote it with favorites such as Alien and Aliens on my mind. The idea is that a lone person, perhaps a lone survivor wakes on Earth. At least she believes it to be Earth. The more she finds only starts to strenghten her distaste for what she learns is a model earth. A machine Earth the same size and look of Earth designed by the Creator to test and implement causes and affects on Earth. Her mere presence on this installation Earth causes the system to operate at an accelerated rate creating molecular and Sentient life where there was none before. Our heroine learns that the Creator intends to destroy our Earths population and restart because there was a glitch. Humanity has become a plague to the Earth consuming at an unsustainable rate. Of course our character attempts to stop this but the rest I am afraid I will not reveal. The plot also looks at the trauma of being on a paradise Earth without company, purpose or hope. Dec. 11, 2009 Space probes pick up exoplanets galore, beginning with the weirder ones By Alan Boyle Science editor msnbc.com- www.msnbc.msn.com Scientists are on their way to discovering thousands of new planets, potentially including hundreds of worlds the size of Earth, in Earth-like orbits around sunlike stars. They expect to achieve that goal within three years or so. But they’ll start with the weirdest worlds. The most advanced planet-hunting probes — the European Space Agency’s COROT satellite and nasa’s Kepler spacecraft — are designed to spot close-in planets most easily. That means the first revelations will be about planets in orbits much smaller than Mercury’s. So when Kepler’s scientists announce their first official results next month, expect to hear about “hot Jupiters” and “super-Earths” whirling so close to their stars that they sizzle. And you just might hear about phenomena so strange that the scientists can hardly believe their instruments. “I was not prescient enough to anticipate something that we’re seeing,” David Latham, a mission co-investigator from the Harvard-Smithsonian Center for Astrophysics, told msnbc.com. “There are some good things coming.” Kepler’s principal investigator, William Borucki of nasa’s Ames Research Center, expects that his science …

Carl Edward Sagan, Ph.D. (1934-1996) was an American astronomer, astrochemist, author, and highly successful popularizer of astronomy, astrophysics and other natural sciences. He pioneered exobiology and promoted the Search for Extra-Terrestrial Intelligence (SETI). Lynette Cook, well-known portraitist of planets, will envision the outcome of this discussion through painting the imagined surface of one of the most recent discoveries: Gliese 581 c – Swissnex San Francisco Debra Fischer is a professor of astronomy at San Francisco State University and the University of California, Berkeley. Fischer has co-authored over 80 papers on dwarf and sub-stellar mass objects in the galactic neighborhood, including many on extrasolar planets. She is also a member of the planet search team led by Geoffrey Marcy looking for extrasolar planets.

Before the Apollo program would ever be able to make the journey across the cis-lunar void to the Moon, nasa’s astronauts first needed to learn how to fly, work, and live in space. Between 1965 and 1966, NASA flew an aggressive series of two-man missions into low-Earth orbit, where they practiced and tested many of the flying techniques, spacecraft systems, science and living skills that would be required to ensure that the voyage to and from the Moon was conducted as safely as possible. The flight program that NASA implemented in order to accomplish these lofty goals was known as Project GEMINI. In a mere 20 months time, 16 NASA astronauts flew a total of 10 missions aboard the GEMINI spacecraft, orbiting the Earth over 600 times while acquiring a wealth of space experience that in the following years would serve to help make the upcoming Apollo lunar program such a resounding success. The GEMINI astronauts were some of the first men to explore this new ocean over our heads that is known as ‘space’, and they did indeed see some amazing sights up there during their flights. Aboard each GEMINI spacecraft was a piece of equipment known as the “Voice Tape Recorder” (VTR).
